Description | I think there is a bug in the Rules about "Proceed if equal points" or do I just not read the rule correctly. Running Electro Off-road with the same rules as EFRA. In qualification we run round by round 2 out of 3 round to count. Rank 1 = 0 point. Rank 2 = 2 point. Rank 3 = 3 point and so on just like EFRA And finals ascending points from 1 to 10.
In both qual and finals we use under "Proceed if equal points" -> "Better points of counted Finals, if identically then take into account race results of counted Finals." In the EFRA rules under Electro Cars http://news.efra.ws/fileadmin/documents/2012/04/Handb12App3.pdf Ít reads. 9.4.3 In the event of a tied position the driver with the single highest finishing position in either of the best two rounds that counted will be awarded the tie. In the event of a continuing tie then the laps and times from the best result in points will be compared. The driver with the fastest laps and time will be awarded the tie. In the case of a continuing tie, then the times from the second best scores will be compared. I have now had two events where the wrong driver have been awarded the tie. First http://www.myrcm.ch/dk/drcmu/20120506_082325/Off-2wd/Ranking/Q_Ranking.html Position 10 Bo Dissing and 11 Thomas Mortensen both have a (9) and (10) as best rounds. Then we should look at the 9 pointer round as being the best. Thomas is around 2.9sec faster on 19laps. But Bo is awarded the tie, my guess is that it have look at the best time from all 3 qualification rounds and in the third round Bo have a faster time but only scored (10) point. Second http://www.myrcm.ch/dk/drcmu/20120519_148549/Off-2wd/Ranking/F_Ranking.html Position 17 Kasper Eliasen and 18 Peter Wolf Svensson are tied on 16 point. Kasper with (8) and (8). Peter with (7) and (9) here Peter should win the tie by having a best score of 7 point. Here my guess is that it have added the total laps and time from the two counted rounds together and as Peter crashed out after 3 minutes he did not have as many laps. This can also be the case in the first example as Bo have a better overall time in the two counted rounds. I can send you exports from RCM if you want to have a look. |
